Pfizer Moves To Block Four Experts In Viagra MDL

Law360, New York (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Discovery battles drag on in the Viagra product liability litigation as defendant Pfizer Inc. seeks to block the testimony of four of the plaintiffs' expert witnesses.

The plaintiffs have proposed the expert testimony to support their claim that Viagra causes non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), an eye condition that can cause partial or total blindness.

The plaintiffs claim they suffer from NAION and that Viagra is to blame – and so is Viagra's maker, Pfizer, for not warning them.
