Cameron Urges Narrow FERC Review For $6B LNG Project

Law360, New York (March 5, 2013, 7:22 PM EST) -- Houston-based oil and gas giant Cameron told the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Friday that it should squash the objections of the Sierra Club to a proposed $6 billion natural gas liquefaction and export facility in Louisiana because the environmental group is misstating federal law.

Cameron, through subsidiaries Cameron LNG LLC and Cameron Interstate Pipeline LLC, said that much of a Feb. 14 comment letter submitted by the Sierra Club and the Gulf Restoration Network was largely redundant to a similar comment submitted in January...
