Allscripts Acquires 2 Health Care Technology Firms

Law360, Los Angeles (March 5, 2013, 3:13 PM EST) -- Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. has acquired two privately held health care software companies, dbMotion Ltd. and Jardogs LLC, advancing Allscripts' strategy to offer full integration of systems across the care continuum, the health care information technology company announced Tuesday.

Allscripts paid approximately $235 million in total consideration for dbMotion, a supplier of community health solutions with which Allscripts formed a strategic partnership in 2009, and an undisclosed amount for Jardogs, a patient engagement solution provider, the company said.
