Cheniere Initiates LNG Export Capacity Expansion Request

Law360, Washington (March 6, 2013, 8:20 PM EST) -- Cheniere Energy Inc. has filed applications with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to expand its annual gas export capacity by adding two processing units to its liquefied natural gas export terminal in Louisiana, noting it hopes to start construction on the expanded project in late 2014.

In a Feb. 27 letter, Cheniere requested FERC begin its pre-filing review of the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal expansion proposal as well as the Cheniere Creole Trail Pipeline system expansion, saying it would file its formal application for the projects...
