Survey Says Privacy Breaches Prevalent

Law360 (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- An overwhelming majority of the 800 privacy and security professionals queried in a survey sponsored by Deloitte & Touche LLP and the Ponemon Institute LLC said that the personally identifiable information of employees and/or customers had been breached at their organizations during the past year — a fact that the survey's authors say is exposing those organizations to increased liability.
