Teva's Defective IUD Caused Injuries, $15M Suit Says

Law360, Miami (March 6, 2013, 7:55 PM EST) -- A Miami woman is seeking $15 million in damages against Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. for injuries she says she suffered from a defective intrauterine device made by the company, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Florida court.

A year after having a ParaGard IUD inserted in March 2008, Yolanda Hudson says she had to have surgery to have the device removed and a portion of her colon re-sectioned. She seeks treble putative damages for physical and mental injuries, as well as interest and attorneys' fees....
