HHS Puts Finishing Touches On Health Exchange Picture

Law360, New York (March 7, 2013, 6:06 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said Thursday that it’s cleared four more states to run health insurance exchanges in partnership with the federal government, a milestone that all but finalizes the new landscape for consumer health policies next year.

With the conditional approval of partnership exchanges in Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire and West Virginia, 24 states and the District of Columbia are set to have partial or full control when online marketplaces debut in October for coverage taking effect in January.
