Federal Asbestos Trust Bill Takes Forum-Shopping Off Table

Law360, New York (March 8, 2013, 7:36 PM EST) -- Federal lawmakers have introduced a bill that would require trusts to publish the claims for compensation they receive from people exposed to asbestos, a measure that would blunt the appeal of forum-shopping for plaintiffs bringing asbestos injury suits even if it lacks the teeth of state-level reforms, attorneys said Friday.
