GE Adds Ex-SEC Chair Mary Schapiro To Its Board

Law360, New York (March 11, 2013, 4:10 PM EDT) -- General Electric Co. said Monday that its board of directors had nominated former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Schapiro as a company director.

The company said it had tapped Schapiro for the post to provide shareholders with key insight into matters surrounding corporate governance and financial oversight.
