"Green Collar" Legislation Blooms In House

Law360, New York (December 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Legislation that would help plant a supply of highly trained workers in the renewable energy and energy-efficiency sector has won approval in the U.S. House of Representatives and is now headed to the Senate.

The Green Jobs Act of 2007, first introduced by Rep. Hilda Solis (D-Cal.), Jerry McNerney (D-Cal.) and John Tierney (D-Mass.), would give up to $125 million in funding to establish national and state job training programs for the green energy sector.
