Budget Fallout For Courts 'Unprecedented,' Judges Warn

Law360, New York (March 12, 2013, 9:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. court system will suffer "unprecedented" damage in the wake of mandatory governmentwide budget cuts expected to slash almost $350 million from court coffers, the heads of the federal judiciary warned at a meeting in Washington this week.

The slashed federal court system budgets ordered by Congress amount to a 5 percent reduction from the last fiscal year.
