Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 1:10 PM EDT) -- In late fall of 2006, AT&T implemented a new policy of not rehiring employees separated under various retirement and severance programs, including, but not limited to, its voluntary retirement incentive program (VRIP) and enhanced pension and retirement program (ERP). The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission brought a class action on behalf of retirees including John Yates, who was 57 when AT&T turned him down for employment.
