Orion's Adviser Balks At $26M Repair Settlement

Law360, New York (December 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The former chief restructuring officer for Orion Refining Corp. is objecting to the company’s distribution trust’s $26 million settlement with a company that led repairs after a 2003 blast ruined an Orion coker unit – and pushed Orion into bankruptcy.

According to Development Specialists Inc. principal Steven Victor, who steered Orion through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy toward a liquidation several years ago, the deal was filed far too late – just a day before objections from interested parties were due.
