US Deputy Trade Rep Named Acting Chief As Kirk Departs

Law360, New York (March 14, 2013, 7:45 PM EDT) -- Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Demetrios Marantis will temporarily take charge of the office when Ron Kirk leaves his post as U.S. Trade Representative on Friday, Kirk said Thursday.

Kirk announced in January that he would step down after four years in the post, and Marantis would take over as acting U.S. Trade Representative, according to a statement Thursday.
