Judge Sues Pa. High Court Over Ticket-Fixing Suspension

Law360, Philadelphia (March 15, 2013, 1:44 PM EDT) -- Judge Mark Bruno, one of nine Philadelphia Traffic Court judges named in a federal indictment detailing a long-running ticket-fixing scheme, sued the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in federal court Thursday, claiming it violated his due process rights by suspending him from the bench.

Bruno, who served as an elected magisterial district judge in Chester County and heard cases in Traffic Court on an occasional basis, contends that the suspension, which was levied just days after the indictment landed, left him unable to support himself and his family....
