Philly Paid Sick Leave Bill Uncertain Despite City Council's OK

Law360, Philadelphia (March 15, 2013, 5:43 PM EDT) -- Philadelphia City Council gave final approval Thursday to a measure that would require employers to provide paid sick leave to their workers, even as it remains unclear whether Mayor Michael Nutter will sign the bill.

The Promoting Healthy Families and Workplaces ordinance, which passed council by a margin of 11-6, would require all employers in Philadelphia with six or more workers to provide between four and seven days of sick leave annually.
