US Says Japan Must Address Barriers In Pacific Trade Talks

Law360, New York (March 15, 2013, 3:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. on Friday welcomed Japan's interest in joining Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations, but said that the nation must be willing to address trade barriers that have impeded U.S. exports as part of the free-trade talks.

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced the country's intention to join TPP talks at a press conference in Tokyo.
