Sequester Cuts Would Devastate Federal Courts, Judges Warn

Law360, New York (March 20, 2013, 2:24 PM EDT) -- Federal courts already are operating under dire conditions that have included employee cuts, hiring freezes and diminishing operational resources and cannot withstand sequestration without seriously compromising their constitutional function to provide access to justice, heads of the federal judiciary told a House panel Wednesday.
