Green Groups Challenge Montana Logging Project

Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 5:54 PM EDT) -- Three environmental groups sued U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Monday in Montana federal court over proposed logging and road construction they claim will kill off endangered bears and fish.

The organizations argue that Montana's Department of Natural Resources and Conservation and the FWS have devised an inadequate mitigation plan to minimize the harm the projects will inflict on grizzly bears and bull trout.
