NJ High Court Eyes New Atty Ad Mailing Rules

Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 3:08 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey Supreme Court committee proposed new guidelines Monday for attorneys who advertise their services, requiring them to more clearly indicate that direct mailings are advertisements and allowing for different ways to list contact information other than a street address.

The Committee on Attorney Advertising published the amended guidelines, one of which would revise a rule requiring law firms to list their street addresses on all advertising, relaxing the requirement so that an attorney could list a telephone number or email address as contact information...
