Matthews is vice chairman of Foley & Lardner LLP's government enforcement, compliance and white collar defense practice, resident in the firm's Tampa, Fla., and Washington, D.C., office. He represents individual and corporate clients in a variety of government enforcement and civil litigation matters, including securities, health care, and whistleblower litigation. In particular, Matthews has argued a variety of issues arising under the False Claims Act at both the trial and appellate level and is currently representing several Fortune 50 companies in False Claims Act litigation.
