Enbridge, Athabasca Partner In $196M Alberta Pipeline Project

Law360, New York (March 22, 2013, 4:27 PM EDT) -- Canadian oil services company Enbridge Inc. has agreed to a C$200 million (US$195.6 million) pipeline and terminal project for Athabasca Oil Corp.'s oil sands development in Alberta, the ninth such project to be connected to Enbridge's regional oil transmission grid, Enbridge said Friday.

The Calgary-based firm will build a new 31-mile pipeline originating at Athabasca's Hangingstone Oil Sands Project, a multiphase development to the south of Fort McMurray. The 16-inch pipeline will provide Athabasca with an initial throughput capacity of 16,000 barrels per day, Enbridge said....
