AstraZeneca Blasted For Seroquel Discovery Lapses

Law360, New York (December 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The special master appointed by the judge in charge of litigation over AstraZeneca LP's blockbuster anti-psychotic drug Seroquel has slammed the pharmaceutical giant for slowing progress in the case, blaming the company's conduct on “mismanagement and inadequate oversight.”

In his third status report, filed to the Orlando district court Monday, special master Craig Ball said issues surrounding access to AstraZeneca's electronically stored information on Seroquel continued to plague the discovery process.
