Justices Pass On Appeal Of Gov't's Seizure Of Ancient Coins

Law360, New York (March 25, 2013, 6:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal brought by the Ancient Coin Collectors Guild that challenged the government's 2010 seizure of 23 ancient Chinese and Cypriot coins it sought to import from London.

The decision leaves in place the Fourth Circuit's October decision dismissing the organization's lawsuit over U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Department of State seizures, citing foreign policy concerns.
