Enviros Can't Make Wyo. Reveal Halliburton Fracking Formula

Law360, New York (March 25, 2013, 5:42 PM EDT) -- A Wyoming state court judge on Thursday nixed a bid by environmental groups to force the state's oil and gas regulator to disclose all the chemicals used by Halliburton Energy Services Inc. and several other companies in hydraulic fracturing operations.

Seventh Judicial District Court Judge Catherine E. Wilking said the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission acted reasonably when it granted fracking product manufacturers trade secret exemptions pursuant to the state's public records law that allowed them to withhold information about certain chemicals used.
