Wal-Mart Sues Union Over Trespass During Fla. Store Protests

Law360, Miami (March 26, 2013, 5:24 PM EDT) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. on Friday sued the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union in Florida for allegedly trespassing in Wal-Mart stores and disrupting business while protesting the retail giant's employment practices.

In a suit filed in Florida's Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orlando, Wal-Mart accused the union and its affiliate OUR Wal-Mart, made up of Wal-Mart associates, of violating state law “through coordinated, statewide acts of trespass in several Wal-Mart stores,” according to the complaint.
