Headset Maker Files Appeal Over €1B Blocked Sonova Sale
Law360, New York (March 26, 2013, 2:11 PM EDT) -- Danish headset maker GN Store Nord AS said Tuesday it had appealed a Cologne court's dismissal of its €1.1 billion ($1.4 billion) claim against Germany's antitrust regulator for blocking the 2007 sale of its hearing aid unit GN ReSound to Swiss medical device maker Sonova Holding AG.
The Court of Cologne dismissed GN's lawsuit on Feb. 26, finding that the German Federal Cartel Office, or Bundeskartellamt, could not be held liable for prohibiting the transaction.
