Law Firm Patents Its Own Business Method

Law360, New York (December 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP has been granted a patent for a business method the firm uses in its global sourcing practice.

The group helps clients worldwide tackle complex outsourcing arrangements, using teams made up of both lawyers and non-lawyer business consultants to work up outsourcing transactions.

The newly patented business process, dubbed “ValueChain” by the firm, aims to help clients effectively realize their global sourcing needs, creating a standard framework for both the firm and its clients to work with.
