Ch. 7 Trustee Seeks Power To Revive Solar Co.'s Operations

Law360, Wilmington (March 27, 2013, 7:30 PM EDT) -- The Chapter 7 trustee overseeing Satcon Technology Corp. sought court permission Tuesday to operate the shuttered solar energy company for a limited time, asserting that reviving certain operations would produce a far greater return than moving directly toward a liquidation sale.

Satcon closed up shop and converted from Chapter 11 in early February after it lost access to funding, and the sudden switch left a backlog of close-to-completed orders and contracts that could be fulfilled and monetized with a little extra work, trustee Charles M. Forman said in a motion filed in Delaware bankruptcy court.
