3M's Water Filter Patent Suit Will Keep Percolating

Law360 (December 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal court has nixed the bids for summary judgment from Clorox Co. subsidiary Brita, Sears Roebuck & Co. and Pentair Filtration Inc. in 3M Innovative Properties Co.'s suit over the patents to its disposable refrigerator water filters.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota unsealed its Dec. 7 order on Monday, revealing its reasoning for letting the case proceed and its analyses of triable issues of fact.
