Gilead Poached Worker To Launch Rival Drug, Vertex Says

Law360, New York (March 28, 2013, 1:14 PM EDT) -- Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. slapped rival Gilead Sciences Inc. with a trade secrets lawsuit Wednesday for allegedly poaching a high-level Vertex physician liaison with access to troves of confidential data on its Incivek hepatitis C drug, saying it gives Gilead an unfair advantage as it plans to launch a competing treatment.
