Chevron, Apache To Sell LNG From $29B Project To Japan Co.

Law360, New York (March 28, 2013, 1:50 PM EDT) -- Chevron Corp., Apache Corp. and their other partners have sealed up a long-term deal to sell some of the venture's liquefied natural gas output in a $29 billion Australian project to Japan-based Chubu Electric Power Co. Inc., Apache announced Thursday.

Per the deal, Chubu Electric has agreed to buy up 1 million metric tons of LNG every year for two decades, Apache said. Financial details of the deal, which has been in the works for about a year, were not disclosed.
