Lindt's Chocolate Bunny IP Suit Melts In German Court

Law360, New York (March 28, 2013, 3:58 PM EDT) -- German chocolate maker Confiserie Riegelein said Thursday that it has prevailed in its trademark fight with Lindt & Sprungli AG, as Germany’s highest court has rejected an appeal from its Swiss rival over Confiserie Riegelein’s gold foil-wrapped chocolate Easter bunnies.

Confiserie Riegelein said after 12 years of legal wrangling, Germany’s Federal Court of Justice has brought about an end to Lindt’s attempt to stop its competitors from selling chocolate sideways-looking bunnies wrapped in gold foil in that country.
