Maine LNG Project Design Gets Go-Ahead From FERC Staff

Law360, New York (March 28, 2013, 6:12 PM EDT) -- Federal Energy Regulatory Commission staff on Thursday gave a thumbs-up to the design of a proposed liquefied natural gas terminal project in eastern Maine, provided that builder Downeast LNG takes certain steps to ensure the project's safety and reliability.

The regulator, which is currently reviewing the project, issued a supplement to a 2009 environmental impact statement that revises the reliability and safety analysis of the proposed LNG terminal with input from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Department of Energy and Coast Guard.
