ITC Probes Impact Of Changing NAFTA Rules Of Origin

Law360, New York (March 28, 2013, 11:10 PM EDT) -- The International Trade Commission announced Thursday it had launched an investigation into the impact that potential changes to the North American Free Trade Agreement's rules of origin could have on the U.S. economy.

Outgoing U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk asked the ITC on March 11 to forecast the economic consequences of the proposed revisions to the rules, which determine which goods get preferential tariff treatment under NAFTA.
