U.K. OFT Charges Three In Marine Hose Conspiracy

Law360, New York (December 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The United Kingdom’s competition regulator has filed criminal charges against the same three men who last week pled guilty in the United States to charges of participating in an illegal marine hose cartel.

The U.K. Office of Fair Trading on Tuesday charged Bryan Allison, the managing director of Dunlop Oil & Marine Ltd., David Brammar, Dunlop's sales and marketing director, and independent consultant Peter Whittle with “dishonestly participating in a cartel,” conspiring to fix prices and rig bids in the marine hose industry between June 2003...
