Entergy's Ark. Nuke Plant Shut Down After Worker Death

Law360, New York (April 1, 2013, 3:18 PM EDT) -- Entergy Corp. shut down both units of its Arkansas nuclear power plant Sunday after a piece of generator equipment fell as it was being moved, killing one plant employee and injuring eight others.

Entergy said a generator stator at its Arkansas Nuclear One plant fell as it was being moved out of the turbine building about 7:45 a.m. Sunday. An unidentified male employee was killed and eight others were hospitalized with injuries, the company said.
