TJX Appeals Amerifirst Suit's Transfer To State Court

Law360 (December 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- After settling Tuesday with six of the seven banking plaintiffs suing it over what has been called the largest retail data security breach in U.S. history, TJX Companies Inc. is now trying to prevent the remaining plaintiff, Amerifirst Bank, from pursuing its claims in state court.

On Wednesday, TJX appealed a federal judge's Tuesday order transferring Amerifirst's case to Massachusetts Superior Court, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
