Apple's IPad Mini Mark 'Merely Descriptive,' USPTO Says

Law360, Los Angeles (April 1, 2013, 5:33 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc.’s trademark application for its iPad Mini is likely to be denied because the name “merely describes a feature or characteristic of applicant’s goods," the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office said in a letter sent in January and made available recently.
