Global Power Fights For Plan Confirmation

Law360, New York (December 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hoping to drown out the protests, Global Power has urged the federal judge overseeing its bankruptcy case to confirm the energy giant's proposed reorganization plan in the face of a handful of objections, arguing that the criticism is baseless.

On Wednesday, Global Power filed a 46-page memorandum of law in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, hoping to shore up support for its Chapter 11 plan a day before the confirmation hearing was expected to begin.
