Employment Legislation To Watch In 2008

Law360, New York (December 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- While many employment-related initiatives will be on the congressional agenda in 2008, employers and attorneys will be keeping a close watch on those that could affect the future of organized labor.

The Democratic Party's employment and labor-related legislative initiatives are geared toward increasing union membership, and would “breed litigation” if signed into law, Rep. Buck McKeon (R-Calif.), ranking member of the U.S. House of Representatives Education and Labor Committee, told Law360.
