TransCanada Seeks Proposals For Cross-Country Oil Pipeline

Law360, New York (April 3, 2013, 5:06 PM EDT) -- Canadian energy giant TransCanada Corp. will begin an open season for commitments later this month to help the company lay or modify more than 2,700 miles of pipeline to transport crude oil from western Canada to eastern Canadian markets, TransCanada said Tuesday.

TransCanada will solicit bidders for the Energy East Pipeline project, designed to transport crude from the oil-rich tar sands in Alberta to Ontario, Quebec and other provinces in eastern Canada, it said. The open season will begin on April 15 and close June 17....
