Vietnam to Resume Trademark Registrations by Year-End

Law360, New York (November 25, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Vietnam is expected to resume trademark registration by the end of the year, following a lengthy disruption as a result of bureaucratic wrangling, the Vietnam Investment Review reported this week.

In the past four months a stockpile of around 3,000 applications from enterprises asking for trademark protection "has been stuck and unresolved," National Hoang Van Tan, National Office on Industrial Property's deputy head, admitted.
