Spanish Lawmakers Advance Antitrust Overhaul Bill

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 6:35 PM EDT) -- Spain's parliament has advanced a government-backed bill that would combine the country's antitrust enforcer with several industry regulators, according to a notice published Thursday.

The House of Deputies, the lower chamber of the Spanish Parliament, passed the measure on Tuesday, moving the government's efforts to create a new National Markets and Competition Commission closer to becoming reality.
