Road Map For The New Bankruptcy Landscape

Law360 (January 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As of Dec. 1, 2007, amendments to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure became effective. The amendments discussed below concern commercial bankruptcy cases and serve to facilitate the efficient administration of such cases.

There are other amendments which clarify the meaning of existing rules or make stylistic changes or apply to consumer cases. A summary of the substantive amendments to the Bankruptcy Rules is as follows:
