Obama's Budget Plan Doubles Down On Clean Energy

Law360, New York (April 10, 2013, 8:51 PM EDT) -- With proposals that include eliminating oil and gas tax breaks while making those for renewable energy permanent and encouraging more renewable energy development on federal lands, the 2014 budget proposed Wednesday by President Barack Obama shows that his administration is cementing its commitment to clean energy development, attorneys say.

Renewables such as solar, wind and geothermal energy would be big winners under Obama's $3.7 trillion proposal, which increases funding for clean energy technologies more than 30 percent from the 2012 enacted level, to nearly $8 billion....
