House Dems Want More Info On Animal Antibiotics Use

Law360, New York (April 9, 2013, 7:30 PM EDT) -- House Democrats on Tuesday turned a hearing on the reauthorization of Food and Drug Administration animal drug user fees into a debate over whether Congress should force drugmakers to share more data about how their antibiotics are used.

Lawmakers, along with the FDA and the animal drug industry, are hoping to reauthorize the user fee programs for animal drugs and generic animal drugs before the current programs expire at the end of September.
