Philly Firm's Fee-Share Suit Against Ex-Atty Can Proceed

Law360, New York (April 10, 2013, 3:25 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania judge on Friday allowed a law firm’s suit against a former attorney who allegedly refused to share fees from shareholder suits to move forward, tossing preliminary objections contending the court lacked jurisdiction and the firm lacked legal grounds to recover the fees.

Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Patricia McInerney also rejected Samuel Simon’s arguments that claimed evidence submitted by former employer Jacobs Law Group showed the firm was eager to get rid of both him and his caseload.
