Dallas Firm Biased Against Women, Partner Says

Law360, Dallas (April 10, 2013, 7:37 PM EDT) -- Dallas-based firm Scheef & Stone LLP has been sued in Texas state court by one of its female partners, who alleges the firm pays women less and has a discriminatory culture, in part because of an alleged former policy that prevented male and female workers from being alone together.

Kim Elkjer, who’s worked for the firm for more than eight years, says in the suit filed April 4 in Dallas County District Court that the firm is in violation of the Texas Commission on Human Rights...
