FDA Wields User Fees In Bid To Boost Food Safety Funding

Law360, New York (April 11, 2013, 8:43 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's proposal to impose massive new user fees on the food industry may be in part a long-shot gambit, intended to awaken companies and lawmakers to the agency's belief that it desperately needs additional funding to implement the food safety overhaul they championed four years ago.
